Car
From County Kildare, take the N7 motorway towards Dublin. Continue on the N7 until you reach the M50 interchange. Merge onto the M50 motorway (signs for M50 Southbound). Stay on the M50 until you reach Exit 16 for the N11 towards Wexford. Follow the N11 until you reach the exit for the R118 towards Dalkey. Continue on the R118 until you reach Dalkey town. From Dalkey, follow the signs for the Dalkey Island ferry at the harbor. Park your car in the designated parking area and take the ferry to Dalkey Island.
Public Transportation
Take a train from Kildare Town to Dublin Heuston Station using Irish Rail. From Heuston Station, transfer to the Luas Red Line tram and travel to O'Connell/Abbey Street. From there, take the Luas Green Line tram towards Brides Glen and get off at the Dalkey station. From Dalkey station, walk to the harbor where you can find the ferry service to Dalkey Island. Make sure to check the ferry timings in advance.
