Car
If you are driving from the town of Carrick-on-Shannon, take the N4 road towards Sligo. After about 15 km, take the exit for the R280 towards Dromod. Continue on the R280 for about 10 km until you reach the village of Dromod. From Dromod, follow the signs for the R201 towards Leitrim Village. Once in Leitrim Village, take a left onto the R202 and continue for about 5 km. You will see signs for Eagle's Rock directing you to turn onto an unnamed road. Follow this road until you reach the parking area at Eagle's Rock. Please note that parking may be limited, so arrive early if visiting during peak times.
Public Transportation
To reach Eagle's Rock using public transport, start by taking a bus from Carrick-on-Shannon to Dromod. Bus Eireann operates services on this route. Once you arrive in Dromod, you will need to arrange for a taxi to take you to Eagle's Rock. Taxis can be booked in advance and may cost around €15-€20 for the journey. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary throughout the week.
Walking
If you are staying nearby in the Cleighragh area, you can walk to Eagle's Rock. From Cleighragh, head towards the unnamed road that leads to Eagle's Rock. The walk is approximately 2 km and will take about 30-40 minutes. Ensure you wear comfortable footwear, as the terrain can be uneven in places.
