From any location in County Longford, head towards Newtowncashel. If you're starting from Longford Town, take the N4 road heading northwest. After approximately 12 km, take the exit onto the R198 towards Newtowncashel. Continue on the R198 for about 7 km until you reach Newtowncashel. Once in Newtowncashel, follow signs to Collum. Barley Harbour is located in Collum, approximately 3 km from Newtowncashel. The final stretch will lead you to a parking area near the harbour.
Public Transport
If you are using public transport, take a bus from Longford Town to Newtowncashel. Bus services such as the Bus Éireann operate on this route. Check the schedule ahead of time as services may be limited. Upon arriving in Newtowncashel, you can take a local taxi or walk approximately 3 km to reach Barley Harbour in Collum.
