Car
If you are traveling by car, start on the M1 motorway heading south. Take exit 16 for the N52 towards Ardee. Continue on the N52 until you reach the junction with the R173. Turn left onto the R173, which will take you towards Carlingford. Follow the R173 for approximately 10 kilometers. As you approach Carlingford, look for signs directing you to Ghan Road. Turn onto Ghan Road and follow it until you reach the Irish Folklore Park located at Liberties Of Carlingford, Co. Louth. There is free parking available on-site.

Public Transportation - Bus
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Dundalk to Carlingford. The bus service is operated by the Local Link and runs multiple times a day. Check the Local Link website for the latest schedule. Once you arrive in Carlingford, you can either walk to the Irish Folklore Park, which is about a 20-minute walk (1.6 km), or take a local taxi for about €10. Be sure to check with the driver for the best drop-off point.
