If you are driving from the town of Navan, take the N51 towards Drogheda. After approximately 15 km, merge onto the M1 motorway towards Dublin. Continue on the M1 for about 20 km, then take exit 10 for the R132 towards Laytown/Bettystown. Follow the R132 for about 5 km until you reach Laytown. From Laytown village, turn onto the beach road leading to Corballis, where you will find Laytown Strand. Please note that parking near the beach may incur a small fee, depending on the season.
Public Transportation
To reach Laytown Strand by public transport, you can take a train from Dublin. From Dublin Connolly Station, board a train heading to Drogheda. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Disembark at Laytown station. From the station, it is a 10-15 minute walk to Laytown Strand. Exit the station, turn left onto the R132, and continue until you reach the beach. Be sure to check the train schedule in advance, as service frequency may vary on weekends.
