Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Boyle from any point in County Roscommon. From Roscommon town, take the N61 road towards Boyle. Continue on the N61 for about 18 kilometers until you reach Boyle. Once in Boyle, follow the signs for the town center. From the center, take the R294 heading towards Knocknashee. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will see signs directing you to Boyle Abbey. The abbey is located at Knocknashee, Boyle, Co. Roscommon, F52 XE16.
Public Transportation
To reach Boyle Abbey using public transport, take a bus to Boyle Town. Bus Éireann operates services from major towns in County Roscommon. Once you arrive at the Boyle Bus Station, it is about a 25-minute walk to Boyle Abbey. From the bus station, head east on Main Street, then turn onto R294. Continue on this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach Boyle Abbey. Alternatively, you can take a local taxi from the bus station to the abbey, which will cost you approximately €10.
