If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Sligo Town. Head southwest on the N4 road towards Dublin. After approximately 7 km, take the exit towards the R290 road towards Ballymote. Continue on the R290 for about 13 km until you reach the village of Agharrow. In Agharrow, follow local signs toward Staid Abbey, which is located just off the main road. There is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take a bus from Sligo Town to Ballymote. Bus Eireann operates routes that will take you to Ballymote. Once you arrive at Ballymote bus station, you can either take a taxi or check for local bus services that might take you to Agharrow. The distance from Ballymote to Staid Abbey is about 10 km, so a taxi may be the most convenient option. Make sure to confirm the taxi fare beforehand as prices can vary.
