Car
If you are driving from the center of Tipperary town, take the N24 road towards the town of Cashel. Continue on the N24 for approximately 30 minutes until you reach Cashel. Once in Cashel, follow signs for the Rock of Cashel. The address for St. Declan's Way is Rock of Cashel, Rock Ln, St. Patricksrock, Cashel, Co. Tipperary. There is parking available at the site, but be prepared for a possible parking fee of around €4 for a day's parking.
Public Transportation - Bus
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Tipperary town to Cashel. Bus Eireann operates services on this route. Check the latest schedule, as the frequency may vary. Upon arrival at Cashel bus station, it's a short 10-15 minute walk to the Rock of Cashel. Simply head northwest on Main St, then follow the signs to the Rock of Cashel. There is no entry fee for the pathway leading to St. Declan's Way, but visiting the Rock of Cashel itself incurs a fee.
Public Transportation - Train
Alternatively, you can take a train to the closest station, which is in Thurles. From Thurles, you would need to take a bus to Cashel. Once in Cashel, follow the same walking directions to reach St. Declan's Way. Please check the train schedule for the latest information. The combined cost for the train and bus is generally around €10-€15, depending on your departure point.
