Car

If you are driving from Waterford city, take the N25 road towards Cork. After approximately 16 km, take the exit for the R680 towards Dunmore East. Follow the R680 until you reach the village of Dunmore East. From there, continue along the coast on the R684 road. After about 10 km, you will arrive in Helvic. Look for signs directing you to The Cove, which is located near the waterfront. There is no parking fee in the area.

To reach The Cove using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Waterford city to Dunmore East. Bus Eireann operates services along this route. Once you arrive in Dunmore East, you will need to take a local taxi or walk along the coastal path (approximately 3 km) to Helvic. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary.
