If you are driving within County Westmeath, head towards Athlone. From the N6 motorway, take the exit for Athlone and follow the signs for the town center. Once in Athlone, navigate to Canal And Banks by following the main road (Church Street) until you reach the junction with the canal. Turn onto Canal And Banks, and you will find The Silver Mile alongside the canal. Parking is available on nearby streets.
Public Transportation
To reach The Silver Mile via public transport, take a train to Athlone from Dublin or Galway. Once you arrive at Athlone train station, exit and look for bus services that run toward the town center. Buses such as the 23 or 64 can take you to the main area of Athlone. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk to Canal And Banks. Follow the signs towards the canal, and you should reach The Silver Mile in about 10 minutes.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Athlone, you can easily walk to The Silver Mile. From the center of Athlone, head towards the canal. Follow the path that runs along the canal until you reach Canal And Banks. The Silver Mile is located directly along the banks of the canal, making it a pleasant walk with scenic views.
