From Croagh Patrick, head southeast on the R335. Continue on this road for approximately 5 miles (8 km). As you approach Ballintubber, keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Ballintubber Abbey. Turn left onto the N84, and then take the first right onto the Abbey Road. Continue straight for about 1 mile (1.6 km) until you reach the abbey. There is parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
From Croagh Patrick, you will need to walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on the R335. Take Bus Eireann route 440 towards Castlebar. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Ballintubber stop. From the bus stop, it is a 10-minute walk to Ballintubber Abbey. Head south on the main road (N84) and follow the signs for the abbey.
