If you're driving to Colonel's Woods from the Croagh Patrick visitor center, start by heading south on the R335 road. Continue for approximately 2.5 km until you reach the junction with the N59. Turn left onto the N59 and follow it for about 1.5 km. At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto the R335 towards Westport. After about 1 km, turn right onto a smaller road marked for Knockranny. Follow this road for 1 km until you see the entrance to Colonel's Woods on your left. Parking is available near the entrance.

To reach Colonel's Woods via public transport, take a bus from the Croagh Patrick area to Westport. Buses run regularly from Croagh Patrick to Westport, with the journey taking about 20-30 minutes. Once in Westport, you can either take a taxi or walk approximately 3 km to Colonel's Woods. If you choose to walk, head north on the N59 road, then take a left onto the R335 towards Knockranny. Follow the R335 for about 1 km and then turn right onto the road leading to Colonel's Woods. Please note that you may need to check local bus schedules for exact times.
