From Croagh Patrick, head north on the R335 road. Continue for about 7 kilometers (approximately 10 minutes) until you reach the junction with the R335 and R336. Take the right turn onto the R336, following the signs for Louisburgh. Drive for about 5 kilometers until you reach the scenic Doo Lough, which will be on your right. There are several places along the lake where you can pull in to enjoy the views and take photos.

From Croagh Patrick, walk to the nearest bus stop on the R335. You can catch Bus Éireann Route 450 toward Louisburgh. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes. Get off at the Louisburgh stop, and from there, it is about a 15-minute walk to Doo Lough. Walk along the R336 road heading northwest, and look for the signs indicating Doo Lough. The lake will be on your right side.
