Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Dingle, head southwest on Green Street towards the waterfront. Continue straight until you reach the pier. Turn left to follow the coastline along the Dingle Bay. Stay on the coastal path until you reach the roundabout at the end of the bay. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Slea Head Drive (R559). Continue straight on this road, enjoying the scenic views. After approximately 5 kilometers, you'll see signs for Clogher Head. Follow the signs to the left, and walk towards the headland. The walk is scenic and may take around 1.5 hours depending on your pace.

    From Dingle, take the local bus service to Ventry. The bus departs from the main bus stop in Dingle. Once on the bus, inform the driver you wish to get off at Ventry. After about 15 minutes, get off at the Ventry stop. From there, you can walk towards Slea Head Drive (R559) and follow the coastal path that leads to Clogher Head, which is approximately a 30-minute walk from Ventry. Enjoy the breathtaking views along the way.
