To reach Sceilg Mhíchíl (Great Skellig) from Dingle, start by making your way to the nearby village of Portmagee. Once in Portmagee, head to the pier where you will find various boat tour operators offering trips to Sceilg Mhíchíl. The boat ride to the island takes about 30-40 minutes, and you can enjoy stunning views of the coastline along the way.

If you are inclined to enjoy a scenic walk before heading to Portmagee, you can hike part of the Kerry Way walking trail which leads towards Portmagee. This will take more time and is best for those who enjoy hiking. Start from Dingle and follow the trail signs towards Portmagee. It is a lengthy trek of approximately 25 kilometers, so ensure you have enough time and supplies. Once you reach Portmagee, head to the pier for your boat tour to Sceilg Mhíchíl.
