From Drogheda, head to the Drogheda Bus Station located at 1-2 Railway Street. Check the schedule for buses heading towards Slane. Take a bus that stops at Slane village. The journey typically takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Slane, you will need to walk to the Hill of Slane. Exit the bus and walk towards the main street, turning right onto the R163 road. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the entrance to the Hill of Slane.

If you prefer to walk from Drogheda, start at the town center and head towards the River Boyne. Cross the bridge and follow the path along the river until you reach the roundabout. From there, take the R163 road towards Slane. The walking distance is approximately 7 kilometers and will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Keep an eye out for signage for the Hill of Slane as you approach Slane village.

Train and Bus
Another option is to take a train from Drogheda to the nearest train station, which is in Laytown or Gormanston. From either of these stations, take a local bus towards Slane. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance. Once in Slane, walk to the Hill of Slane as previously described.
