Car
If you're traveling by car, Brú na Bóinne is located approximately 50 km north of Dublin. Start your journey by getting onto the M1 motorway from Dublin. Follow the M1 for about 40 km until you reach the exit for Drogheda. Take exit 10 towards Drogheda and merge onto the N51. Follow the signs for Brú na Bóinne, which is well-marked. The visitor center is located at the address: Drogheda, Co. Meath, A92 EH5C. There is a car park available at the site, and parking fees may apply.
Public Transportation (Train)
To reach Brú na Bóinne via public transportation, take a train from Dublin Connolly Station to Drogheda. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Drogheda train station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop. From there, you can take Bus Eireann route 163 towards 'Drogheda - Newgrange.' This bus will take you directly to the visitor center. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may vary.
Public Transportation (Bus)
Alternatively, if you prefer to take a bus from Dublin, you can take a Bus Eireann service (route 101) from Dublin Busáras to Drogheda. This journey typically takes about 1 hour. Upon arriving at Drogheda, transfer to Bus Eireann route 163, which will take you directly to the Brú na Bóinne visitor center. Again, be aware that bus schedules can vary, so it's a good idea to plan ahead.
