From the centre of Drogheda, make your way to the Drogheda Train Station located on the south side of the River Boyne. Head west on Wellington Quay towards the bridge. Cross over the Boyne River using the Old Bridge. Once you are across, continue straight along the road until you reach the intersection with St. Mary’s Gate. Turn left onto St. Mary’s Gate and follow it to the end, where it merges into West Street. Continue along West Street until you reach the Bus Station. From the Bus Station, you can take a bus to Dublin. Look for buses that head towards Dublin City Centre and specifically ask the driver for Smithfield. Once you arrive at Smithfield, you can explore the area.

From Drogheda, proceed to the main Bus Station located in the town centre. Check the schedules for buses heading to Dublin. Purchase a ticket to Smithfield or Dublin City Centre. The bus ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Dublin, you may need to ask the bus driver or consult a local for the best stop to disembark in Smithfield. After getting off, follow signs towards Smithfield Square, which is a short walk away.
Train
Start at Drogheda Train Station. Purchase a ticket to Dublin Connolly Station. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Dublin Connolly Station, exit the station and head towards O'Connell Street. From O'Connell Street, you can take the Luas tram (Red Line) towards Tallaght. Disembark at the Smithfield stop. You will find yourself in the Smithfield area, where you can explore the local attractions.
