Walking
Start at the Drogheda Bus Station. Exit the station and head southeast on the High Street towards the Westgate. Continue straight onto St. Laurence Street. After about 10 minutes, you'll reach the River Boyne. Cross the bridge, and follow the signs for the Boyne Greenway, heading towards Tullyallen. The Greenway will take you along a scenic route. After approximately 30 minutes of walking, you will see a sign for Townley Hall Woods. Follow the path leading into the woods.
Bus
From Drogheda, make your way to the Drogheda Bus Station. Take the Bus Éireann route 163 towards Tullyallen. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the Tullyallen stop. Once you disembark, walk towards the sign for Townley Hall Woods, which is located a short distance from the bus stop. Follow the local paths that lead into the woods.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from the center of Drogheda. Head towards the Boyne Greenway, which runs along the river. Cycle along the Greenway for approximately 5 kilometers, enjoying the picturesque views. Follow the signs for Townley Hall Woods as you approach Tullyallen. There are dedicated bike paths leading directly into the woods.
