To reach Bective Abbey from Dublin city center, start by heading to the nearest bus station, such as Busáras. Take the Bus Eireann Route 111 towards Trim. This bus will take you through several towns, and you will want to get off at the stop closest to Bective Abbey, which is usually near the village of Bective. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the Abbey. Head south on the R161 road, and follow the signs for Bective Abbey. The Abbey is located just off the main road, and you will see the ruins as you approach.

Begin your journey at Connolly Station in Dublin. Take the train on the Dublin to Maynooth line and travel to the Maynooth Station. Once you arrive at Maynooth, exit the station and catch the Bus Eireann Route 111 towards Trim. Make sure to inform the driver that you are heading to Bective. Get off at the nearest stop to Bective Abbey and follow the R161 road south for approximately 15 minutes to reach the Abbey.
