Getting there

Walking

If you are in the city center, head towards Dame Street. Dublin Castle is located directly on Dame Street. From Trinity College, walk south towards Dame Street; it should take about 10 minutes. Once on Dame Street, you will see the entrance to Dublin Castle on your right side.

Bus

Take any bus that stops at Dame Street. You can catch buses 15, 27, 56a, or 77a from various points in the city center. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach Dame Street. Once you get off, Dublin Castle will be just a short walk down the street.

Luas (Tram)

Take the Luas Red Line and get off at the 'Jervis' stop. From there, exit the station and walk east along Abbey Street. Turn left onto Dame Street, and you will find Dublin Castle a few minutes down the road on your left.

Taxi or Rideshare

If you prefer a taxi or rideshare service, simply input 'Dublin Castle, Dame St, Dublin 2' into your app, and the driver will take you there directly. The entrance to the castle is located just off Dame Street.
