DART
If you are in Dublin city center, make your way to the Pearse Station. From there, take the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) train towards Bray or Greystones. Stay on the train for about 25 minutes and disembark at the Sandycove/Glasthule station. Once you exit the station, turn left and walk straight until you reach the coast. The Forty Foot is a short walk from here, located at the end of the promenade.
Bus
You can also take the bus to reach Forty Foot. From O'Connell Street in the city center, catch the 7 or 45 bus towards Dun Laoghaire. Ride the bus for approximately 40 minutes and get off at the 'Sandycove, Church' stop. Walk down the road towards the sea, and you will find the Forty Foot a short distance away along the coast.
Walking
If you enjoy walking, you can make your way to the Forty Foot from central Dublin. Start at Trinity College and head towards the River Liffey. Follow the river southward until you reach the Grand Canal. Walk along the canal path towards the south until you reach Sandycove. This will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Once you reach Sandycove, head towards the coast, and you'll find the Forty Foot.
Taxi
For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from your location in Dublin. Simply tell the driver you want to go to the Forty Foot in Sandycove. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. This is a convenient option if you prefer not to navigate public transport.
