Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Trinity College Dublin, exit the college through the main gate onto Nassau Street. Head southwest on Nassau Street towards Kildare Street. Continue walking straight until you reach St. Stephen's Green. From there, exit the park at the south end and turn right onto Harcourt Street. Follow Harcourt Street until you reach the intersection with the Grand Canal. Turn left onto the Grand Canal and you will find the scenic pathway along the water.

• Dublin Bus

  From O'Connell Street, board the bus number 92 or 122 at the bus stop near the Spire. You will travel southbound towards the Grand Canal. Get off at the stop called 'Grand Canal Dock.' After exiting the bus, walk towards the water, and you will find yourself at the Grand Canal area with its beautiful views.

• DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit)

  If you are near Pearse Station, take the DART southbound towards Bray or Greystones. Get off at the 'Grand Canal Dock' station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs towards the Grand Canal, which is just a short walk away, and enjoy the picturesque surroundings of the canal.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of Dublin's many bike rental stations. Start at the nearest bike station and cycle towards the Grand Canal area. For example, if you start from Merrion Square, head south on Upper Merrion Street, continue on to Pembroke Road, and follow the cycle lanes leading to the Grand Canal. The canal is well signposted, making navigation easier.
