Getting There

  • Walking

    From Grafton Street, head southwest towards St. Stephen's Green. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at St. Stephen’s Green. Take the first exit onto Earlsfort Terrace, continuing past the National Concert Hall. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Harcourt Street. Turn right onto Harcourt Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Camden Street. Continue straight onto Camden Street until you reach the intersection with Wexford Street. Turn left onto Wexford Street and continue straight. You’ll eventually come to a roundabout. Take the second exit onto Clanbrassil Street and keep walking straight. Look for signs pointing towards The Liberties. Follow the signs towards Lamb Alley. The Old Dublin City Wall is located on Lamb Alley, which is a short walk from Clanbrassil Street.

  • Bus

    From Grafton Street, walk to the nearest bus stop located at St. Stephen's Green. Board the number 14 bus towards 'Ballinteer'. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'The Coombe' stop. From there, walk northwest on The Coombe until you reach the junction with Lamb Alley. Turn left onto Lamb Alley, and you'll find the Old Dublin City Wall.

    From Grafton Street, walk to the nearest DART station at Pearse Station. Board a DART train towards 'Dun Laoghaire'. After one stop, disembark at 'Tara Street' station. From there, exit the station and head west towards the River Liffey. Cross the bridge and continue straight until you reach the intersection with The Coombe. Turn right onto The Coombe and walk until you see the sign for Lamb Alley. The Old Dublin City Wall will be located just off Lamb Alley.
