Getting there

Walking

If you're starting from O'Connell Street, head south towards the River Liffey. Cross over the O'Connell Bridge, taking in the views of the river. Once you've crossed, turn left onto D'Olier Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with College Street. Turn right onto College Street, which will lead you to the entrance of Trinity College. Walk along the side of the college, and as you exit the campus, you will find yourself on Dame Street. Keep walking straight until you reach the junction with George's Street. At this intersection, take a left and continue until you see the bustling area of Temple Bar. As you reach Temple Bar, walk towards the river and follow the banks until you reach Capel Street. Grattan Bridge will be directly in front of you.

Public Transport (Bus)

Begin at the nearest bus stop on O'Connell Street. Take any bus heading towards the city center that stops at the 'Temple Bar' area. Once you get off the bus, follow the signs towards the river. Walk towards the Liffey River and head west along the riverbank until you reach Capel Street. Grattan Bridge is located just off Capel Street, and you can see the bridge from the riverside.

Tram (LUAS)

If you are near a LUAS stop, take the Green Line tram towards Broombridge. Get off at the 'Abbey Street' stop. From there, head east towards the river and cross over O'Connell Bridge. Once across, turn left and walk along the riverbank. Continue on the path until you reach Capel Street, where Grattan Bridge is located.

Cycling

If you have access to a bike, you can cycle towards the city center from any point in Dublin. The easiest route is to follow the cycle lanes along the River Liffey. Head towards the Temple Bar area and look for signs directing you to Capel Street. Grattan Bridge will be visible as you approach Capel Street from the river path.
