From Ennis town centre, head southwest on O'Connell Street towards Bank Place. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto the N85. Follow the N85 for about 20 kilometers. You will pass through several towns. Once you reach Galway, keep an eye out for signs directing you to the city center. As you enter the city, follow the signs for 'Cathedrals'. The Galway Cathedral is located at Gaol Rd, and you will see it on your left-hand side as you approach. The total walking distance is approximately 25 kilometers, and it may take around 5 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.

From Ennis, walk to the Ennis Bus Station located at Station Road. Check the schedule for buses heading to Galway. Buses such as the Bus Éireann service run frequently between Ennis and Galway. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic journey, which takes about 40-50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Galway Bus Station, exit and walk towards the city center. Head northwest on Eyre Square towards Forster Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Gaol Rd. Turn left onto Gaol Rd, and the Galway Cathedral will be on your right. The total journey time should be around 1 hour to 1.5 hours including waiting time.
