Getting There

    From Ennis, head to the Ennis Bus Station located on Station Road. You can walk there in about 15 minutes from the town center. Once at the bus station, purchase a ticket for the bus heading to Doolin. The bus should arrive every hour. After approximately 30 minutes of travel, you will arrive at Doolin. From Doolin, look for the ferry terminal, which is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop. At the ferry terminal, you can purchase a ticket for a ferry to Inisheer. The ferry ride will take around 30 minutes.

    If you are already in the town center of Ennis, start at O'Connell Square. Walk south on O'Connell Street until you reach the intersection with Abbey Street. Turn left onto Abbey Street, then continue straight until you hit the bus station on Station Road. From there, follow the bus instructions to Doolin as described above.

  • Bicycle

    For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ennis. Begin your ride from the town center towards the west, following the N85 road. The distance to Doolin is about 20 kilometers, which will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once you reach Doolin, park your bicycle securely and head to the ferry terminal to catch the ferry to Inisheer.
