From the center of Galway, head to the bus station located at Eyre Square. Look for a bus heading towards Ennistimon. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Ennistimon, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, walk towards the town center, following the signs for the Cascades, which are about a 10-minute walk straight down the main street.
Train and Bus
Start by taking a train from Galway train station to Ennis. Upon arriving at Ennis, transfer to a local bus heading towards Ennistimon. The total travel time can take around 2 hours, including the train and bus connections. Once in Ennistimon, follow the directions to the town center for the Cascades, which should be a short 10-minute walk.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi or rideshare service from Galway directly to Ennistimon. This journey will take about 1 hour, and the drivers will be familiar with the best routes to the Cascades. Simply ask them to drop you off at the Ennistimon Cascades.
Bicycle
For the more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Galway. Follow the N18 route towards Ennistimon, which is approximately 30 kilometers away. The ride will take around 2 hours. Once you reach Ennistimon, park your bicycle and walk towards the Cascades, which is about a 10-minute walk from the town center.
