If you are in the heart of Galway, start at Eyre Square. Head towards the southern end of the square and look for the entrance that leads to the street. Once you exit Eyre Square, take a right turn onto Edward Square. Continue straight for about 100 meters, and you will reach O'Connell's Bar on your left at 8 Eyre Square.

If you are further away from the city center, you can take a local bus heading towards Eyre Square. Look for routes that have stops at 'Eyre Square Bus Stop.' Once you get off the bus, follow the same walking instructions as above: head towards the southern end of Eyre Square and turn right onto Edward Square. O'Connell's Bar will be on your left at 8 Eyre Square.
