Bus
From Galway city center, walk to the Eyre Square bus station. Look for Bus Eireann routes 423 or 424, which head towards Oughterard. Purchase a ticket to Oughterard. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Oughterard bus stop, exit the bus and head towards the main road (N59).
Walking
From the Oughterard bus stop, walk towards the N59 road. Turn onto the N59 and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. After about 15-20 minutes, you will see signs for Aughnanure Castle on your left. Follow these signs until you reach the entrance of the castle.
Taxi
Alternatively, from the Oughterard bus stop, you can hire a taxi to take you directly to Aughnanure Castle. This will be a quicker option, taking around 5-10 minutes. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
