Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Eyre Square, head southwest on Forster Street towards the Spanish Arch. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Quay Street. Turn left onto Quay Street and follow it until you reach the junction with the Claddagh area. From there, head towards the River Corrib and follow the riverbank path, which will take you past the Salmon Weir. Keep following the river until you reach the end of the path where it meets the road. Turn left onto the road (Bóthar na gCailleach) and continue until you reach the junction with Terryland Road. Turn right onto Terryland Road, and after a short walk, you will see the entrance to Terryland Castle on your left.

    From Eyre Square, you can take Bus 404 or Bus 405 from the nearby bus stop. Both routes head towards Terryland. Get off at the 'Terryland' bus stop. After disembarking, walk a short distance down to Terryland Road. Walk straight for about 10 minutes, and you will find the entrance to Terryland Castle on your left-hand side, just past the residential area.
