Getting There

  • Car

    From Glendalough, start by heading south on the R756 road. Follow the signs towards Laragh and the Wicklow Gap. After about 5 km, you will reach a junction. Take a right turn onto the R115 (signposted for Glencree). Continue on this road for approximately 4 km until you reach a small car park on your left. Park your car here, as there is limited parking closer to the waterfall.

  • Walking

    From the car park, you will need to walk to the Glencree Waterfall. The path starts just across the road from the car park. Follow the trail which leads you through a wooded area. It is approximately a 20-minute walk to the waterfall, and the path can be uneven, so please wear sturdy shoes.

  • Public Transportation

    If you're using public transport, take a bus from Dublin to Glendalough (check Dublin Bus or Bus Éireann for schedules). Upon arriving in Glendalough, you will still need to walk. Follow the same walking instructions as above from the nearest bus stop in Glendalough to the Glencree Waterfall, which is about 5 km away. The bus fare is approximately €10 one way.
