Car
If you're driving from Glendalough, start by heading northwest on the R756 road towards Laragh. Continue for about 5 km until you reach the junction with the N11. Take the N11 heading south towards Dublin. After around 30 km, take the exit for the R131 towards Ringsend. Follow the R131 until you reach the Dublin Port area. Look for signs directing you to Poolbeg. Once you reach S Wall, you will find Poolbeg Lighthouse at the end of the wall.

To reach Poolbeg Lighthouse using public transport from Glendalough, first take a bus (Route 183) from Glendalough to Wicklow Town. From Wicklow Town, transfer to a bus heading to Dublin (such as the 133 or 133A). Once in Dublin, get off at the stop for the DART at Pearse Station. From there, you can either walk or take a taxi to Poolbeg. If walking, head towards the waterfront, following the signs for Dublin Port, then walk along the S Wall to reach the lighthouse.
