Car
From Glendalough, take the R756 road towards Wicklow Gap. Continue on R756 until you reach the R755. Turn left onto R755 and follow the signs for Dublin. Merge onto the N81 and follow until you reach the M50 motorway. Take the M50 northbound exit. Continue on M50 and take the exit for N4 towards Dublin city center. Follow the N4 which will take you into the city. Once in Smithfield, use your GPS or map application to navigate to 4 Meetinghouse Lane, Dublin 7, where St Marys Abbey is located. Parking may be available nearby, but be aware of any parking fees.

From Glendalough, you will first need to take a local bus or taxi to the nearest train station, which is in Rathdrum. From Rathdrum station, take a train to Dublin Heuston Station. The train journey takes about 45 minutes. Upon arrival at Heuston Station, exit the station and take a bus or taxi towards Smithfield. If you choose to walk, it's about a 20-minute walk.
