Getting There

• Bus

  From Kilkenny city center, head to the Kilkenny City Bus Station. Take Bus Éireann route 833 towards Castlecomer. The bus runs several times a day, so check the schedule for departure times. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the Castlecomer stop. From there, walk approximately 1.5 kilometers (about 20 minutes) along the R695 road towards Castlecomer Discovery Park, which is located at The Estate Yard, Ardra, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, R95 HY7X.

• Train and Bus

  From Kilkenny, you can take a train to the nearest train station, which is in Portlaoise. First, head to Kilkenny Train Station and take a train towards Dublin. Get off at Portlaoise station. From Portlaoise, take Bus Éireann route 837 towards Castlecomer. The bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Castlecomer, walk approximately 1 kilometer (about 15 minutes) to Castlecomer Discovery Park, following signs towards The Estate Yard.

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Kilkenny city center to Castlecomer Discovery Park. You can find taxis at designated taxi ranks or request one through a local taxi service. The journey will take approximately 20-25 minutes, and the driver will take you directly to The Estate Yard, Ardra, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, R95 HY7X.

• Walking

  For the adventurous, if you're feeling up to it, you can walk from Kilkenny to Castlecomer Discovery Park. The distance is approximately 16 kilometers (about 10 miles). Start from the center of Kilkenny and follow the R693 road north towards Castlecomer. This walk will take around 3-4 hours, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water with you.
