Getting There

    From Kilkenny city center, start at the Kilkenny Castle. Head northeast on The Parade towards the Castlecomer Road. Continue onto Castlecomer Road, passing by the Kilkenny Design Centre on your left. Keep walking straight for about 2.5 kilometers until you reach Dunmore Cave, which will be on your right-hand side. The total walking time should be around 30-40 minutes.

    From Kilkenny city center, make your way to the bus stop at the Castlecomer Road. You can take the Bus Éireann Route 3 towards Castlecomer. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times. Once you get off the bus at the stop closest to Dunmore Cave, walk back a short distance on Castlecomer Road until you see the entrance to Dunmore Cave on your left. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes, and the walk from the bus stop to the cave will take around 5 minutes.
