If you are starting from Kilkenny Castle, head southeast towards the castle gates and exit onto The Parade. Turn left and continue along The Parade until you reach the junction with Rose Inn Street. Cross the road and continue straight onto High Street. Walk straight until you reach the traffic lights at the junction with John Street. Cross John Street and continue straight until you see John's Green on your left. Turn left onto John's Green and you will find John's Green House, where the Kilkenny County Library Headquarters is located.

If you are near the Kilkenny Bus Station, take the local bus service towards Castlecomer and ask the driver to let you know when you reach John's Green. The bus ride should take around 10-15 minutes. Once you get off, walk back a short distance to your left and you will see John's Green House. The Kilkenny County Library Headquarters is located there.
