If you are driving, start from Killarney town center. Head northwest on the N71 road towards Muckross House. After about 5 km, turn left onto the R568 road towards Derrynafunsha. Continue on the R568 for approximately 10 km. You will find Trout Lake on your right-hand side. There is limited parking available near the lake.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Killarney to Kenmare. You can catch the bus at the Killarney Bus Station. Once you arrive in Kenmare, you will need to transfer to a local taxi service to reach Trout Lake, as public transport options are limited in this area.
