Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Killarney, head southwest on Main Street. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Muckross Road (N71). Keep walking for approximately 2 km, passing by the Killarney National Park entrance on your right. The walk will take you through beautiful scenery. You will see signs for Muckross Abbey. Once you reach the Muckross Abbey entrance, you will find the abbey a short walk from the entrance.

    From Killarney town center, walk to the Killarney Bus Station located on Park Road. Take the 7 or 8 bus towards Muckross. The journey should take around 15-20 minutes. Get off at the Muckross Abbey stop. From there, follow the signs towards Muckross Abbey, which is a short walk away.
