Start your journey from Killarney town center, specifically from the Killarney National Park entrance. Head south on Main Street, passing the Killarney Cathedral. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Park Road. Turn left onto Park Road and follow it until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the N71 towards Kenmare. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, look for a small path on your right leading into the woods, which will take you towards the area around Castlelough. Follow this path for about 20 minutes, and you'll arrive at Parkavonear Castle, where you can enjoy the scenic views and the historical ambiance.

If you're renting a bicycle in Killarney, start from the bike rental shop in town. Cycle southwest along the N71 towards Kenmare. After about 1.5 kilometers, keep an eye out for a small pathway on your right that leads into the forest. This path is a scenic route to Parkavonear Castle and will take approximately 15-20 minutes of cycling. Enjoy the natural landscape as you make your way to the castle.

While there isn't a direct bus to Parkavonear Castle, you can take a bus from Killarney to the nearby town of Kenmare. Catch the bus from the Killarney Bus Station. Once in Kenmare, you can either walk or rent a bike to reach Parkavonear Castle. The walk from Kenmare to the castle is about 5 kilometers, heading north via the N71 and then taking a small path into the woods on your left. The total travel time, including the bus journey and walking, will take around 1.5 to 2 hours.
