Walking
From the center of Kinsale, head towards the main road (Cork Road). Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto the R600 road towards Cork. Continue walking for about 30 minutes. You will pass through scenic areas, and you might want to stop and take in the views. Once you reach the outskirts of Cork, keep an eye out for signs for The Lough. You will need to turn left onto The Lough Road. Follow this road until you reach Cork Lough, which will be on your right. The entire journey should take approximately 40-50 minutes.

From Kinsale, walk to the bus stop located on the main street near the Kinsale Tourist Office. Take the bus number 226 towards Cork city. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Cork city, get off at the bus stop near Patrick Street. From there, walk towards St. Patrick's Street and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit towards R600. Walk straight on R600 for about 15 minutes, then turn left onto The Lough Road. You will find Cork Lough on your right after a short walk.
