Head south towards Oliver Plunkett Street and continue straight until you reach Washington Street. Turn right onto Washington Street and walk until you reach the junction with the South Mall. Turn left onto South Mall and walk to the end, where you will see the River Lee. Continue walking along the river until you cross the bridge at St. Patrick's Bridge. Once across, turn right and follow the river bank until you reach the junction with the Lough. From here, you will see signs directing you to The Lough, which is just a short walk away.

Take Bus Route 202 from Patrick Street. Board the bus at the Patrick Street stop and ensure you are heading towards Bishopstown. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop named 'The Lough'. From the bus stop, walk straight ahead for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at The Lough, which is a beautiful nature preserve.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in the city center. Start from the Grand Parade and head towards Washington Street. Once on Washington Street, take a left onto the South Mall and follow the riverbank cycling path. Continue along the path until you reach the bridge at St. Patrick's Bridge. Cross the bridge and cycle along the river until you reach the intersection with the Lough. The Lough is easily accessible from this route, and you will find bike racks available for parking.
