From Mizen Head, take the R591 road towards Schull. Drive for about 12 kilometers until you reach the junction for Baltimore. Turn left onto the R592 towards Baltimore. Continue on this road until you reach the Baltimore Ferry Terminal. There, you can park your car (note: parking fees may apply). Next, take the ferry to Sherkin Island. The ferry operates regularly, and the crossing takes about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Sherkin Island, follow the signs towards Cloddagh. Cow Strand is located on the eastern side of the island, approximately a 15-minute walk from the ferry landing.
