If you are driving from central Mizen Head, head southwest on the R591 road. Continue straight for about 9 kilometers until you reach the T-junction. At the junction, turn left onto the R586, which will take you towards the Sheep's Head Peninsula. Follow this road for another 7 kilometers, and you will see signs for Sheep's Head. Once you arrive in Sheep's Head, follow the signs toward the lighthouse for stunning views and a lovely walk.
Public Transportation
Take the bus from Mizen Head to Bantry. The bus service runs several times a day. Once in Bantry, switch to the bus heading towards Glengarriff. Get off at the Sheep's Head stop. From there, it is about a 2-kilometer walk to the lighthouse. Follow the signs towards Sheep's Head, and you will enjoy beautiful coastal views along the way.
