From the center of Salthill, head towards the Salthill Promenade along the waterfront. Follow the promenade to the west until you reach the end of the beach area. Once you reach the roundabout at the end of the promenade, take the first exit onto the R336 towards Oughterard. Continue walking along this road for approximately 2.5 km until you reach the village of Oughterard. As you enter the village, look for signs directing you to Aughnanure Castle. The castle is located a short walk from the village center.
