Walking
From the center of Salthill, head east towards the main road, Salthill Promenade. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rockbarton Road. Turn left onto Rockbarton Road and walk until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Threadneedle Road. Follow this road until you reach the end, then turn right onto the R336. Continue walking on this road until you see the signs for University Road. Turn left onto University Road, and the James Mitchell Geology Museum will be on your left at Quadrangle, 19 University Rd, Galway, H91 WY1F.
Public Transport
Take a bus from Salthill to Galway City. Look for the bus stop near Salthill Promenade. Buses such as the 401 or 402 head towards Galway City Center. Once you reach the city, disembark at the stop for Eyre Square. From Eyre Square, walk north along Shop Street until you reach the intersection with High Street. Turn left on High Street, and continue straight until you reach University Road. Turn right onto University Road and walk about 10 minutes. The James Mitchell Geology Museum will be on your right at Quadrangle, 19 University Rd, Galway, H91 WY1F.
