Getting There

Walking
From the Salthill Promenade, start walking west along the promenade towards the Claddagh area. You'll pass by several cafes and shops. Continue walking for about 20 minutes until you reach the end of the promenade. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the R336 road. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs for Lough Corrib. Once you reach the lake area, you can explore the beautiful surroundings.

From Salthill, head to the nearest bus stop on the promenade. Take the bus number 402, heading towards Oughterard. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop for Lough Corrib. After disembarking, follow the signs towards the lake, which is just a short walk from the bus stop.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Salthill Promenade and cycle west along the coast. Follow the same route as for walking, and you'll reach the roundabout.
