Walking
From Salthill Promenade, head north towards the main road (R336). Upon reaching the R336, turn left and walk straight until you reach the junction with the R336 and R339. Cross the road carefully to continue heading northwest on R339. Follow this road as it leads you out of Salthill and towards Newtown. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see signs for Newtown Castle. Follow these signs, and you will arrive at the castle. The total walking distance is about 2.5 kilometers, which should take approximately 30-40 minutes.

Public Transport (Bus)
From Salthill, make your way to the nearest bus stop on the R336 (the main road). You can take Bus Route 410 towards Claregalway. Board the bus and stay on for about 15 minutes. Get off at the Newtown stop. From there, it's a short walk to Newtown Castle. Head southeast on Newtown Road, and you will see the castle located at the address H91 H299.
