From the center of Salthill, head towards the Salthill Promenade, which runs along the coast. Walk west along the Promenade until you reach the end, where you'll see the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the R336 road. Continue walking along this road for about 2.5 kilometers. You will pass several scenic spots along the way, so take your time and enjoy the views. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Clogher. After about 30 minutes of walking, you should reach Clogher. Pigeon Hole Cave is located approximately 1 kilometer from the center of Clogher, so follow the signs to the cave.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Salthill. Start your journey on the Salthill Promenade heading west. Maintain your route along the Promenade until you reach the roundabout. From there, take the second exit onto the R336 road, which will lead you through beautiful countryside. You’ll cycle approximately 2.5 kilometers, and the ride should take around 10-15 minutes. Look for indicators leading to Clogher and remember that Pigeon Hole Cave is about 1 kilometer from the center of Clogher.
