Walking
From Salthill Promenade, head towards the main road (Grattan Road). Walk straight along the promenade until you reach the roundabout at the end. Continue straight across the roundabout onto the R336 (Rockbarton Road). Follow this road until you reach a T-junction. Turn right onto the R336 and walk straight. Keep walking past the intersection with the N59 until you reach the bridge that crosses the River Corrib, which leads you directly to University Road.

From Salthill, head to the nearest bus stop on the Promenade. Take Bus Route 401 towards Galway City. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at Eyre Square. From Eyre Square, walk towards the northwest direction on Shop Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of the street and turn left onto University Road. The Salmon Weir Bridge will be ahead on University Road.
